Our Team
Meet Emma Batrouney (Heale)
Opening an audiology practice in Melbourne is a dream come true for me. I grew up in this area, went to school and university here, and have spent the last few years working as an audiologist. I have strong ties to this community. To now be a local business owner providing an essential service is truly exciting.
I have recently joined the board of the Hearing Business Alliance (HBA). HBA advocates and provides business support to independent audiology clinic owners.
I graduated from La Trobe University with a Bachelor of Health Science and a Master of Clinical Audiology. More recently, I completed a Graduate certificate of Commerce, majoring in Finance and Marketing.
I’m passionate about hearing health. It’s a vital part of many people’s quality of life and plays a big role in our ability to connect with the environment we live in. I understand completely the frustration and isolation that comes as a result of hearing loss; it’s not uncommon to feel like you’re losing connections with family and friends.
I take great pleasure in guiding people on their hearing care journey. My training coupled with the latest audiological technology ensures that my clients find positive outcomes and see substantial improvements to their communication.
Outside of the clinic, Emma is an avid golfer, foodie and enjoys spending time with her soon-to-be husband, Mark and puppy, Riley.
Meet Joanne Somerville
I graduated from Monash University with a Bachelor of Economics and I’m a current member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and a member of the Institute of Corporate Governance. I’ve garnered a lot of experience over the years, working as a Manager in professional services, hospitals, and more recently as a Executive Manager Finance in a not-for-profit aged care facility.
I greatly enjoy working with Emma to create a successful audiology practice. I love nothing more than having the opportunity to put my knowledge and interpersonal skills to good use. I believe the service we provide is an essential one and gives those living with hearing loss much needed support.
